'Worn Again' Fashion Show - Sponsored by:
(12 March 2011)

These events are to raise funds for ThePo!ntC.O.C. and the projects run from the centre. It is very much our plan to expand and provide more and more resources to the community and meet as many needs as possible, however, being a charity we solely depend on the weekly donations of our members, which often leaves us struggling to keep up with our own expenses, rent, public liability insurance, etc. This is the purpose of the recent fundraising events. Some of the projects we already run include: free music workshops, band rehearsals, P.A. & multimedia training, coaching, weekly ConnectPo!nts, monthly LifePo!nts (providing information on topics such as finance, relationships, parenting, etc.), rehabilitation for those struggling with life controlling issues, support for their families, youth events and projects designed to deal with behavioural issues, identity and lack of confidence. These plus many more projects.
We are are currently looking to create more projects in Dundee and also St Andrews so watch this space. If you would like to support our work generally or a project specifically please consider donating to us.

Women's Aid
(1 May 2010)

Our 'cocktail-mocktail-shopaholic-chocaholic' fundraiser nite for Women's Aid was possibly one the most fun nights we've had. With stalls for handbags, candles, jewellery, etc. plus manicures and hand massages, live music, chocolate fountains!! Representing Women's Aid in Dundee and Fife were Val Mortimer and Cece. It was a great nite with an even greater purpose, to raise awareness of the fear and violence that exists everyday behind closed doors - doors that could be our neighbours'. As human beings it's our responsibility to fight for those who can't fight for themselves and so it was a pleasure to run this event which not only raised £1,000 for Women's Aid, but also challenged, resourced and provided helpful information, of what steps to take if we are ever concerned about anyone who could be in a violent situation.
