Christian Outreach Centre

The first meeting of Christian Outreach Centre was on June 23rd 1974, when 25 people met in the front room of a house in Brisbane, Australia and is now a global network of churches in over 40 nations.

The early days of the C.O.C. movement were synonymous with excitement, miracles and a boldness which defied common theories of what church should be like. There was a deliberate focus on the work of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life. Prayer for the sick resulted in many being healed, changing lives forever!

The Holy Spirit continues to bring a powerful sense of destiny and purpose into the hearts of pastors, leaders and members throughout the movement. C.O.C. is expanding on a world-wide scale, and is focusing on cities and countries that will benefit from the involvement of a local C.O.C.

C.O.C. Europe fulfils its vision to reach every person on the planet with the love of the Lord Jesus Christ the by running pastors and leaders training schools, regional meetings, and other events targeted to train and equip God's leaders for the future. Practical love is also shown through COC European humanitarian aid organisation 'Global Compassion'.

Our aim is to impact Europe and beyond with hope and vision, to be a positive force for change and reformation in our nations. Together we will "Reach our World for Christ".

In 1993 Ashley and Ruth Schmierer established the European base in Brighton, where it has trained leaders and planted further churches across the UK and Europe and is now stretching into countries further afield. C.O.C.'s European Conferences have been aired on God channel, as well as several interviews with Ashley Schmierer.
